Working in a rented warehouse and over store fronts for several years taught me the value of having a defined studio space.  Recently I was able to build a studio on my home property.

 

I commute down a garden path, have good lighting and wall space for works-in-progress, and a special place to store fabrics and quilts.

 

Sky and garden views, framed with strategically placed windows and skylights, bring nature close in all seasons. The french doors look onto a warm, south-facing patio and small walled garden with a rough semicircle of stepping stones through it.
